Build a discovery-set brief by pieces, not just millilitres
A discovery set is an arrangement of products and information. The fill volume of one container is only one input. The number of scents, identification method, closure, removal experience and outer packaging all need to be defined before a useful sourcing review.

Separate container type from volume
Explain whether the project calls for a sample vial or a miniature retail-style bottle. Provide a physical or visual reference and describe the proposed sprayer or closure. Do not treat every small capacity mentioned in a guide as an independently catalogued SKU or a currently available component.
Count scents and pieces explicitly
State the number of scents per set and the quantity of containers for each scent. Distinguish the number of finished sets from the number of individual containers. Mark spare pieces, empty components and any mixed configuration separately so they are not silently included in a set quantity.
Design identification and handling
Describe how each scent is identified on the container, card or insert. Provide text, artwork size and the intended order in the set. Explain how users remove each piece and whether neighbouring containers should remain in place. Use exact sample dimensions when reviewing the cavity and set layout.
Approve the complete proposed set
Review container, closure, decoration, insert and outer pack together using the agreed sample route. Record unresolved fit, compatibility, labelling and commercial questions. Live availability, minimum quantities, sample cost, transport requirements and timing must be confirmed for the particular set; a concept is not a supply promise.
